Emergency transport. Provides that except where an emergency exists and no other method of transportation is reasonably available: (1) a facility may not use a police officer to transport an individual detained under an emergency detention to another facility; and (2) the county where the individual is present may, but is not required to, reimburse the expense of transportation by a police officer from a facility to another facility. Allows the facility to apply for reimbursement of the transportation cost from any applicable government agency or program. Emergency transport.
