DIGEST OF INTRODUCED BILL


Docked riverboat gaming and funding for scholarships. Allows gambling to be conducted while an Indiana riverboat is docked. Requires an Indiana riverboat to maintain the capacity to cruise at all times. Reduces the distribution of wagering tax revenue to the lottery and gaming surplus account from 75% to 65%. Provides for the distribution of 5% of wagering tax revenue to the Hoosier scholar fund. Provides for the distribution of 2.5% of wagering tax revenue to each of the following funds: (1) The higher education award fund. (2) The minority student scholarship fund. Establishes the minority student scholarship fund.
