Police chief executive training program. Requires a city police chief or a town police chief of a metropolitan police department to attend the executive training program of the Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police before July 1, 2003, if the association's program curriculum meets the law enforcement training board's requirements and is approved by the board and the Indiana law enforcement academy. Provides that if the association's curriculum does not meet the board's requirements or is not approved by the board and the Indiana law enforcement academy, a police chief shall attend a police chief executive training program conducted by the Indiana law enforcement academy. Requires a city police chief or a town police chief of a metropolitan police department to attend the executive training program conducted by the law enforcement training board after June 30, 2003. Allows the city or town to pay the tuition, mileage, meals, and lodging expenses incurred by the police chief in attending the executive training program.
