DIGEST OF INTRODUCED BILL
Veterinary practice. Provides that the state veterinarian is the executive secretary of the board of veterinary medical examiners (the board). Removes duties performed for the board by the health professions bureau and the attorney general. Requires the executive secretary and the board to administer the functions previously provided by the bureau and the attorney general. Provides that the board may enter into an agreement with the state board of animal health to use staff and facilities. Specifies the effect of delinquent property taxes, a criminal conviction, and delinquent child support on the status of a person's license or application. Provides for the enforcement of standards of practice. Makes conforming amendments and technical corrections.
