DIGEST OF INTRODUCED BILL


Political contributions of government employees. Provides that a deduction for a political contribution may not be made from the compensation of an employee of a governmental body. Provides that a violation of this prohibition is a Class B misdemeanor. Provides that an employee of a governmental body may not solicit or receive a political contribution while the employee is on duty. Provides that an employee of a governmental body may not be coerced, intimidated, or required to make a political contribution. Provides that a violation of these prohibitions is a Class D felony.
