Department of heritage and cultural resources. Establishes the department of Indiana heritage and cultural resources (department) and a fund to support the department. Allows admission fees to be established for historic sites. Establishes within the department the: (1) division of state museums and historic sites; (2) division of historic preservation and archeology; (3) Indiana historical bureau; (4) Indiana state library; (5) commission on public records; (6) Wabash River heritage corridor commission; and (7) certain programs and boards. Makes certain changes to the duties of agencies, programs, and boards that are within the department. Establishes the historic site fund, and requires the admission fees and historic property sales to be deposited in the historic site fund (instead of in the museum acquisition fund). Provides for the transfer of personnel, property, and responsibilities to the department. Repeals the statute that establishes the Historical Society as a body politic and corporate and thereby terminates its existence as a state entity. Requires certain documents be delivered to the Indiana Historical Society, a private entity.
