DIGEST OF INTRODUCED BILL


Inspector general. Requires the inspector general, not more than 30 days after receiving a complaint, to notify the person who filed the complaint of whether the inspector general intends to take further official action in response to the complaint. Provides that if the inspector general notifies the person that the inspector general does not intend to take further official action, the inspector general is required to set forth in the notice the inspector general's rationale for taking no further official action. Provides that if the inspector general notifies the person that the inspector general intends to take further official action, the inspector general, at the conclusion of the official action, is required to notify the person of the results of the official action.
