DIGEST OF INTRODUCED BILL
Governor's veto authority. Amendatory veto. Authorizes the governor to return a bill to the general assembly with proposed amendments as an alternative to signing the bill, vetoing the bill, or filling the bill without a signature. Provides that the general assembly may pass the bill: (1) as the governor proposes to amend the bill; or (2) as originally passed. Provides that if either house of the general assembly does not pass the bill as proposed to be amended or as originally passed, the bill does not become law.
