Police chief executive training program. After June 30, 2006, requires a city police chief or a town police chief of a metropolitan police department to attend the executive training program of the Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police if the Association's program curriculum meets the law enforcement training board's requirements and is approved by the board. Provides that if the Association's curriculum does not meet the board's requirements or the Association's program is not approved by the board, a police chief shall attend the executive training program conducted by the Indiana law enforcement academy. Allows a police chief's city or town to pay the tuition, mileage, meals, and lodging expenses incurred by the police chief in attending the executive training program.
